I'm Leena Teräs and I live in Finland, nowadays in town called Oulu. I've lived here over 10 years with my family and enjoyed very much the arctic conditions by the sea.

Currently I'm working as a project manager and researcher in development project MätaJämt, which is carried out with Center for Internet Excellence, Women's and Gender Studies at University of Oulu, Technical University of Luleå (Sweden), Centre for Distant-spanning Technology (SWE) and Gender and Innovation (SWE).

I'm also a manager in SINNI Inc, which deals with issues of regional development, equality & diversity and disseminate development work of various projects. Since 1998 I've worked also as project manager as well as part-time teacher in University of Oulu. Before my settling down in academia I worked several years as a manager in the business life and NGO's and as a teacher in educational sector.
